About the group

Three companies, one team

OMNIA GROUP is a group of three Prague-based marketing companies. We plan and buy media, build performance campaigns, shoot and design. Experience on a small market mostly means knowing where things usually go wrong.

How the group came about

  1. It started with production

The group started as a production company. Shooting and photography are disciplines where craft shows immediately — the shot is either usable or it is not. That is where the working method came from, and it still holds: agree what has to exist before anyone starts.

  2. Media buying got its own company

Media buying has a different economy from production. It handles other people’s money in large volumes, is charged as a percentage of the budget, and rests on relationships built over years. Keeping it in the same company as the shooting meant mixing two very different kinds of accountability — and the client stopped seeing exactly what they were paying for.

  3. Performance got its own company

Performance campaigns run on a monthly retainer, rest on the client’s data and are measured by return. That is a third economy and a third kind of contract. The youngest company exists so that performance does not have to hide inside a media commission.

  4. A group is three companies, not three teams

The split is legal and accounting, not personnel. The core team is 15 people and they share one office. When several large projects land at once, there is no reserve to reach for — and saying so is more honest than promising a deadline that will not hold.

How we approach the work

  1. We say the uncomfortable part

When the budget does not match the brief, or the product will not hold up on the market, we say so at the start. That is cheaper for both sides than finding out after three months.

  2. We do not try to sell everything

Many clients leave with a smaller scope than they arrived with. Selling a service that does not address the brief comes back as a lost client. That holds inside the group too — when one company is enough, we do not involve the other two.

  3. Numbers are not dressed up

The report includes what did not work. A report where everything is always excellent stops being read within six months.

  4. Clients take their own with them

Accounts, data and source files belong to the client. Holding them hostage is a way of retaining business we dislike from the receiving end too.

  5. One person owns the result

Inside the group every engagement has one person accountable for it, regardless of how many companies contribute. It is not the client’s job to check whether they passed materials between themselves.
