Group company — 03

OMNIA PR

OMNIA PR is the youngest company in the group, created so that media buying has a company of its own. It is the discipline where experience shows fastest: rate-card pricing is only the opening position, and the gap between a well and a poorly bought campaign is routinely tens of percent of the budget. The same company also covers the media work that is not bought — press office, bylined articles and crisis communication.

02

Why media buying got its own company

Media buying has a different economy from the rest of marketing. It handles other people’s money in large volumes, is charged as a percentage of the budget, and rests on relationships with media representatives built over years. Folding it into one company with performance campaigns or production means folding together very different kinds of accountability.

A separate company has one more advantage, one you only notice during negotiation: the client sees how much goes to media and how much to the agency. The commission is stated in the contract, not hidden inside the price of media space.

03

A small market, long relationships

The Czech media market is small and relationships carry weight in it. That mostly means knowing where there is room for a bonus, when a package is worth buying and when it pays to go after individual placements instead — and what happens when campaign timing shifts at the last minute.

That knowledge cannot be bought or read up on. It is the only reason an advertiser with an annual budget in the millions needs a media agency rather than a booking system.

04

The post-buy is the client’s safeguard

After the campaign ends we compare the plan against reality — which spots ran, at what times, with what reach. Deviations are settled through compensation, not silence.

Agencies often skip this step because it adds nothing to revenue. It is, however, the only place where you verify that the client got what they paid for.
