Press

Press has stopped being a reach medium and become a medium for credibility and narrow targeting. A trade title has a circulation in the thousands, but the people reading it are the ones deciding on the purchase — so the cost per useful contact can beat media with audiences in the millions. With national titles the opposite holds: you are buying prestige and context, not efficiency.

Who delivers it within the group

About the group

This service is led by OMNIA PR. You contract with that company and it invoices you — OMNIA GROUP is a brand umbrella, not an entity you could contract with.

03

Position in the issue matters more than format

A half page on a right-hand side next to an article people read works better than a full page at the back among the other ads. And position can be negotiated — usually more cheaply than buying a larger format.

So with press, position is settled before size. In trade titles the difference is larger still: the section where the ad belongs thematically gives the message a context no amount of design can replace.

04

Paid content has to be labelled

An advertorial works precisely because it looks like editorial — and precisely for that reason the law and press codes require it to be labelled. Unlabelled paid content is a risk for the publisher and the advertiser alike, and in regulated fields it can mean a fine.

So we check the labelling before publication, along with the content’s compliance with the rules of the field. A well-written advertorial is not hurt by the label: a reader who finishes it knows whose it is and trusts it anyway, provided it gave them something.

Frequently asked

Does press advertising still make sense?
As the main reach vehicle for a broad audience, usually not. In trade and regional titles, yes — there you are buying an audience that cannot be bought as precisely or as cheaply anywhere else. The decision belongs to the cost-per-useful-contact maths, not to impressions.
Who writes the advertorial?
Either the editorial team writes it from our briefing, or OMNIA MEDIA prepares the text and the editors adapt it to their style. The second route is usually faster and keeps the message closer to the brief; the first reads more naturally in that particular title.
